I hate it when newspapers charge for online content. Can't they figure out a way to earn the money they need via advertising? Maybe they need to upgrade their advertising/marketing staff.
Well they realize that their op-eds are one of the few parts of the paper that can't be matched by any other source on the web. However I think they're being tremendously short sighted since with the web and blogs and syndication the content will end up showing up for free anyway. They definitely need to upgrade the advertising and take advantage of growing online readership rather than encouraging defection to other news sources.
