A Belly Full of Beans

May 25th, 2005 by Josh

Expecting to spend much of the night tweaking WordPress, reformatting old posts, and trying to come up with some semblance of a unique theme for the site, I decided to try out the new taqueria in the neighborhood. Owned by the same folks who started my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood, Taco Riendo is Las Cazuela’s little brother up the street. The menu is short; consisting of some breakfast dishes, Guisados (mexican stew), sandwiches, and tacos. Per my roommate’s suggestion I had the Chile Relleno tacos with a side of rice and beans. Delicious.

The decor is casual and it’s a BYOB. Riendo is at 1301 N. 5th St, a block north of Girard Ave while Las Cazuelas (which you really must try if you haven’t – it’s excellent) is at 426 Girard Ave. I could eat Mexican food for every meal of the day so I’m thrilled there’s another high quality option in the neighborhood.

Any graphics designers out there have any interest in designing me a banner? I’m looking for something that has both Homer and a little bit of Philly flair. But I don’t really like to talk about my flair.

Another new layout – cool. I wish I could help with the header pic, but I’m a total novice. Rock on.

Yum. I wish someone would open a taqueria in my neck of the woods. But I’ve been told not to hold my breath.

You will find, as I did not too long ago, that WordPress totally rocks — or something like that. There are, of course, about ten million designs out there you can fiddle around with. Well, that’s what I did.

Good luck working Homer back into it. (I was in a mild state of shock upon getting here and not seeing him up there…)
