NoLib In All Its Glory

June 6th, 2005 by Josh

First of all, great weekend. There was a festival in the Northern Liberties with art, crafts, music, and beer. Artists opened their studios, Art Star Gallery had a craft and art bazaar (where I picked up a cellphone/iPod cozie and some glass plugs), and the night ended with bands, including Kenn Kweder, and Yards beer in the park. Unfortunately we got there towards the end of the music, but Sarah, John, Rebekah and I made up for it with dinner at Las Cazuelas.

Matt over at Tattered Coat has a great list of the Top Ten Reasons Why You Haven’t Joined The Big Brass Alliance. This is a great intro both to The Downing Street Memo and the BBA. I’m gonna keep saying it, so please, if you haven’t already signed it, go over to Rep. John Conyers’ site and sign the petition.

Thanks for the shout-out. All of the pressure the BBA is applying is beginning to work…one day, we may even see another NY Times story about it.
