To follow-up on my previous posting re: the suppression of American’s civil liberties…

Obviously Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and their staff’s were too busy today to read SkaroffBlog. If they would have read this thought-provoking blogspot–they would know that making sure the radical Republican agenda is not rammed through Congress while most Democrats nap in their offices is the most critical issue of the day.

Instead, having not read SkaroffBlog they’ve decided, instead, to focus on what our favorite right-wing tubster Karl Rove said about the Democrats in the aftermath of 9-11 . Come on, we are buying into the Republican’s tactics. While there are major issues to be confronted, the Republicans constantly offer distractions like the recent Dick Durbin comments and, of course, just about every word out of Howard Dean’s mouth.

So, if there are Democratic members or staffers out there who care to listen- don’t sink to their level. Instead of calling for Karl Rove’s resignation (which is just not happening) focus on the flag burning amendment and/or the daily car bombings that are happening in Iraq.

We have real issues to deal with in Washington and I hope we’ll be the party not of distraction but of solution.
