Initial thoughts

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

I’ve yet to say anything on President Bush’s new nominee to the Supreme Court, John G. Roberts Jr., and for the most part I am reserving my judgement until I know more. So far I’m not as discouraged as I expected to be, thanks mostly to an NPR interview I caught with Georgetown University Law [...]

The moon is made of people!

Wednesday, July 20th, 2005

Alright, this time I really am following through on my threat to create a Maps category. This link however, isn’t a third party mashup but courtesy of the smart lads and lasses at Google to celebrate the anniversary of the first moon landing. Check out Google Moon to see imagery of the moon with data [...]

Aka Nambla

Tuesday, July 19th, 2005

So you already spend most of your time reading my blog. I’m willing to guess that the rest of your hours, when not cleaning the spyware off your overburdened PC, reading one of those books about that devil-worshipping Harry Potter, or trying to remember which words you can’t say on TV, are spent watching Jon [...]

It seems like it’s about time to create a Google Maps category here at SkaroffBlog since the interesting links continue to pile up. This one is for all my “peeps” in NYC. onNYTurf presents the Google Map NYC-Subway Hack. One of the more interesting hacks I’ve seen since they overlay the actual routes on the [...]

Gonna have some fun

Friday, July 15th, 2005

Tell you how it’s done…TGIF. In that spirit, some Friday Cat Blogging. Maybe I’m a bit too easily amused, but look at him cleaning. He sits like people! Video from my Treo. Should play in RealPlayer or Quicktime. My friends Lauren and Cameron are in Pakistan currently shooting a documentary. Check out their blog and [...]

Rope that Dope

Thursday, July 14th, 2005

Rick Santorum is digging his own grave. He continues to help his opponent Bob Casey Jr. by donating fodder to fuel the fire. The latest, dumbest thing to come out of his mouth, he actually wrote in 2002. And in this corner, my own Senator Ted Kennedy, has put it back in the headlines. Kennedy [...]

Developing… UPDATE (6/14/05 09:30 EST): It appears to be a fever, most likely from an infection, which is fairly common in patients who have undergone a tracheotomy. The Boston Globe [...]
