The US military death toll in Rummy and Cheney‘s illegal and immoral war has reached 2,000 brave American men and women.
Tomorrow evening MoveOn.org is organizing candlelit vigils around the nation to support the troops and honor our dead. Here is a list of sites in Philadelphia where a vigil will be held. See you on the west side of City Hall at 5 pm.

how was it? i saw the 6.30p in bold on the page and went at that time, i guess i was 1.5 hrs late. arg. damn liberals and their lack of organization.

It was really extraordinarily moving. Much more so than the September DC march which had a sort of party atmosphere to it. I want to write a post about it but have unable to write anything I’ve found satisfying. The Litany of Mourning and Congressional Responsibility as well as a recitation of the hebrew Mourner’s Kaddish at the end really got to me. At 6:30 I think we were only at Santorum’s office at the SE corner of City Hall.

i was at dilworth, on the NW and SW sides of city hall at about 6.25, didn’t see a soul in sight who looked like a vigiler. oh well.
