Sure, no Miers nomination is theoretically good, but it wasn’t lefty bloggers who got her out, it was the insane archcons. The Christian Coalition, lunatic fringe, fuckin’ What’s-the-Matter-with-Kansas, Matthew-Shepherd-killers-supporting, intelligent-designing, Phyllis-Schlafy-humpers got Miers to withdraw. Now we might get skullfucked by an Estrada or, heaven forfend, some other Texas judge. I’m ambivalent.

This is not automatically ‘good’ for Democrats. But it is definitely bad for Bush and that makes me, well, turgid.

This is good news for both Democrats and Republicans. She was totally unqualified.
