For some bizarre reason I often, out of the blue, or at least while in proximity to a McDonald’s, chant “the McD *knock* *knock* LT.” And generally, people look at me strangely. But via GiantMag’s list of the 50 greatest commercials of the 80s, via Kottke, I have proof that this advertising campaign did exist.

I’m pretty sure my memory of the commercial actually comes from watching the Ewoks movies on VHS tape over and over and over again as a kid.

(And whatya know? The YouTube description actually says they found this ad on a Ewoks video tape. Nice.)
